SMASH Virtual Production Studio is described as Chicago's only dedicated LED virtual production studio, located in a 41,000-square-foot facility in the city's South Loop. It specializes in in-camera VFX, virtual art department (VAD) services, and grip and electric rentals, and offers free masterclasses on virtual production. The facility houses two LED volumes: Volume A, a 100-foot U-shaped stage with full ceiling coverage, and Volume B, a 25-foot screen suited to interviews and smaller shoots. It supports filmmakers creating digital environments for film, television, and branded content.
