Optimus is a Chicago-headquartered production and post-production house founded in 1996, when Tom Duff and a group of partners acquired the company from Anheuser-Busch, with an additional office in New York. It is a collective of filmmakers, storytellers, and artists whose services span live-action production, editorial, design, animation, VFX, audio mixing, and finishing for commercials, branded content, documentaries, and indie film. In 2004 it launched a production-focused division, ONE at Optimus, to differentiate its live-action production from its post capabilities. Clients and campaigns include McDonald's, Allstate, Coca-Cola, General Mills, Mountain Dew, and Burger King, alongside documentary work such as Netflix's Untapped. The company was named Reel Chicago's Post House of 2024.
