Camera Ambassador is a Chicago camera, lens and grip rental house founded in 2014 by Erica Duffy and Brandon Werlin, and is noted as one of only a few woman-owned rental houses in the country. Its 11,000-square-foot shop at CineCity Studios features four automated MYT Works prep bays, a lens projection room and testing area. Inventory spans Arri, Red, Sony and Canon cameras, prime/zoom/anamorphic lenses, grip trucks (2-, 3- and 5-ton) and expendables. Beyond rentals, the company runs a 'Rental Home' community model with workshops, screenings and funding opportunities for filmmakers.
