Cutters Studios is one of the world's largest independent editorial companies, founded in Chicago in 1980 by Tim McGuire. It is an umbrella creative organization encompassing partner companies including Cutters (editorial), Dictionary Films, Flavor (design/animation/VFX), and Another Country (audio). The studio offers production, editorial, audio mixing and sound design, effects and graphics design, and finishing, taking projects from concept to distribution. Staffed by award-winning editors across multiple U.S. offices and Tokyo, Cutters remains headquartered in Chicago at 515 N State Street.
