Back Porch Films is a film and video production company based in Durham, North Carolina, working primarily across the Triangle region and dedicated to championing southern stories in all forms. The company specializes in narratives, music videos, documentaries, and commercial marketing content. It is owned and operated by filmmaker and video producer Blake Kinsey, who holds a BFA in Film & Television Production from Western Carolina University. Kinsey is also co-founder of the New Carolinas Film Collective, an initiative to stimulate local filmmaking in the Triangle through events, workshops, and career opportunities.
