Rule Camera, also known as Rule Boston Camera, is a leading professional equipment rental and sales house in Newton serving film, video, media and content makers. It was formed in 2008 through the merger of Boston Camera Rental Company (founded 1982) and Rule Broadcast Systems (founded 1990). The company rents and sells digital cinema cameras, lenses, accessories, lighting and grip gear, production expendables and post-production systems, backed by in-house engineering and quality-control departments and tech support. It is also a hub for the regional production community, hosting learning labs, showroom demos and industry events. Productions supported include Good Will Hunting, The Departed and American Fiction.
