Since 2003, AREA 405 has been a vital member of the Station North Arts and Entertainment District, providing exhibition, performance, event, studio and living space for artists of a variety of disciplines. The 160-year-old, 66,000-square-foot warehouse at 405 East Oliver Street, once home to a brewery, an industrial equipment shop, and a window blind manufacturer, offers an alternative setting to traditional \u201Cwhite-wall\u201D galleries for artists from Baltimore, the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond.
