The Ranch Film Studios

The Ranch Film Studios is a film and television production studio in Chalmette, Louisiana (St. Bernard Parish), about seven miles from downtown New Orleans. Founded in 2014, it offers multiple soundstages and production spaces along with offices, off-campus lots, and production support services such as vendor coordination, tax-credit assistance, catering, and amenities, spanning hundreds of thousands of square feet across multiple properties. The studio is credited with helping revive the local economy by hosting both major studio productions and independent films. It grew out of founder Jason Waggenspack's discovery of an abandoned big-box store while location scouting, with property owner Sidney Torres III becoming a co-founder.
