The Universal Studios Florida Production Group has operated since the park's planning in the late 1980s (the park opened in 1990), providing sound stages, production support facilities, backlot locations, and production management at the Universal Orlando Resort. Its team books and maintains production offices, support spaces, stages, and crew/basecamp parking adjacent to the soundstages or in resort garages. The stages have hosted thousands of film, television, and commercial productions, including game shows such as Family Feud, Deal or No Deal, and Wheel of Fortune, and films like Psycho IV: The Beginning and Oscar. It remains one of Central Florida's primary purpose-built soundstage complexes.
