The Culver Studios was founded in 1918 by silent-film pioneer Thomas H. Ince and has operated under many storied names including DeMille Studios, RKO-Pathé, Selznick International Pictures, and Desilu. Many Golden Age classics were produced on the lot, among them Gone with the Wind, Rebecca, and A Star Is Born, alongside later films like The Matrix and I Am Legend and TV series such as The Andy Griffith Show, Lassie, Scrubs, and Arrested Development.
