Television City Studios
7800 BEVERLY BLVD, LOS ANGELES, CA, 90036
Television City, originally CBS Television City, is a historic television production complex in the Fairfax District of Los Angeles, designed by architects William Pereira and Charles Luckman and opened in 1952 as a purpose-built electronic video production facility. The complex currently houses eight studios, built out from the original four soundstages (31, 33, 41, and 43), and has been home to landmark programs including The Price Is Right, The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful, The Carol Burnett Show, All in the Family, and American Idol. CBS sold the campus to Hackman Capital Partners for $750 million in December 2018 while continuing to lease space, and the facility was renamed Television City Studios. Hackman announced a $1.25 billion redevelopment plan to expand the campus to at least 15 soundstages while preserving the original studios and the site's Modernist architectural character.
