Sunset Las Palmas Studios

1040 N LAS PALMAS AVE, LOS ANGELES, CA, 90038

Sunset Las Palmas Studios, located at 1040 N. Las Palmas Avenue in Hollywood's Media District, was established in 1919 by John Jasper, a former associate of Charlie Chaplin, and operated over the decades as Hollywood Studios Inc., General Service Studios, and most recently Hollywood Center Studios before being renamed. Hudson Pacific Properties acquired the lot from the Singer family for roughly $200 million in 2017 and renamed it Sunset Las Palmas Studios, operating it under its Sunset Studios brand (with Blackstone as a joint-venture partner). The roughly 15-acre campus offers about 13 sound stages plus production offices and support space. Historically it was the home of landmark television such as I Love Lucy, the first prime-time sitcom shot on film before a live audience, along with The Beverly Hillbillies, Perry Mason, Get Smart, and The Addams Family. In 2025 CBS's The Bold and the Beautiful relocated production to the lot after decades at Television City.
