Paramount Pictures Studios sits on an iconic 65-acre lot at 5555 Melrose Avenue in Hollywood and is the only major film studio still located within Hollywood proper. Founded in 1912, Paramount is the longest-operating and one of the oldest major film studios in the United States; it purchased its present lot (formerly United Studios) in 1926 and adopted the Paramount name in 1930.
