Kansas Film Commission (Kansas Department of Commerce / Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission)

Topeka, Kansas, United States

The former standalone Kansas Film Commission was merged into the Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission (KCAIC) within the Kansas Department of Commerce, which now handles film services for the state. It provides liaison services with state, local, and federal agencies, location scouting assistance, and pre-production support on production services, personnel, and state laws, plus a searchable Kansas locations database (ks.reel-scout.com). Kansas also offers a film production tax credit administered with the Department of Revenue.

Filming incentives

No active statewide film production tax credit; only a sales/hotel tax note (no hotel occupancy tax for stays over 28 days). General Commerce incentives page exists but not film-specific.
