Badger Region CLC

We are a laid back and informal group of enthusiasts and enjoy all things automotive. Typical activities include driving tours, garage tours, visiting restoration facilities, a summer picnic and an annual banquet meeting. Backed by Gene’s relationship with the staff at Crest Cadillac in Brookfield , Gene decided to give it a try. Using the CLC International Membership Directory, Gene sent a letter and a self-addressed post card to every Wisconsin member of the CLC and hoped there would be enough positive responses to start a Wisconsin club. There were! A Saturday luncheon meeting was arranged for the potential members to meet with Gene and Herb Karow, the CLC Central Region Vice-President at the time. Named the Badger Region of the CLC , it includes all of Wisconsin. Gene became the first Director and Herb continued to guide the development of the new region until we were on solid footings. The club was incorporated and we continue to grow. The first newsletter was published in September, 1997. It contained information on a fall outing and picnic with a tour of a local auto museum. The meetings were bi-monthly and we soon became involved with an annual Cadillac & LaSalle show at Crest Cadillac.
