On September 1, 1965 it was official, the Columbia River Region of the Vintage Chevrolet Club of America was a nationally recognized club. The club’s first president was Lee Matthews! It wasn’t long before the club’s first tour—May 15, 1966 to Champoeg Park. And according to the photos, it rained. We’re sure spirits were not dampened to have many more fun adventures in our old Chevrolets (and now GMC’s) in the decades ahead.
