Chicago Alfa Romeo Club
Marque Club
Our monthly club meeting for June was held at The Autobarn Collection. Richard Fisher and Mark Lenox keep the place running. They are a Bring-A-Trailer partner, so the majority of the collection there is for sale. They talked to us about their affiliation with BAT and how they help people by running their auctions for them. They even have a photo studio there to make sure they can present the cars properly. There is also a storage facility there for cars, including cars that are not for sale. Richard even had a few of his own Alfas on display. If that wasn’t enough, I brought in a recently acquired Alfa Romeo memorabilia collection to show off. The collection includes a wide variety of unique items: advertisements, historical photos ,posters, vintage magazines and promotions, Alfa car grills from around the world, banners, signs, and even an Alfa Romeo clothes iron. A lot of these items came from the Alfa Romeo factory. If that wasn’t enough, Richard , John and I had the event catered. We were treated to Mexican food that was made right there in the parking lot by a local restaurant. It was great time for everyone who attended. And other unique events that you’ll just have to show up to find out about. We are also open to new events, if you have any ideas, let us know.
