Detour Filmproduction is the Austin-based production company of acclaimed filmmaker Richard Linklater, housed at Austin Studios. The company has been the production home for many of Linklater's films shot in and around Austin, helping anchor the city's independent film identity. Its long-running, Austin-rooted work includes landmark titles such as Dazed and Confused, the Before trilogy and the Oscar-nominated Boyhood. Detour is one of Texas's most prominent auteur-driven production entities.
