Cinelease Studios – Caven Point is a film studio in the Greenville section of Jersey City, in a converted 1960s warehouse at 21 Caven Point Avenue, near Liberty State Park. The Criterion Group acquired the property in 2019 for about $16.75 million and opened it in August 2021, billed as New Jersey's first purpose-built film studio. It totals roughly 112,400 square feet, including about 70,000 square feet of stage space across three column-free soundstages (40 feet to grid, roughly 50 feet to ceiling), plus workshop and flex space, and is marketed via the Liberty Landing Ferry to Liberty State Park within the 8-mile SAG zone. It is the principal studio associated with the Liberty State Park area. A major six-stage expansion was announced in August 2023 and remains in planning.
