Radford Studio Center
4024 RADFORD AVE, STUDIO CITY, CA, 91604
Radford Studio Center, at 4024 Radford Avenue in Studio City, was founded by filmmaker Mack Sennett in 1928 and later operated as Mascot Studios, Republic Studios, and—from 1963 until recently—CBS Studio Center (also known as CBS Radford). In November 2021 a partnership of Hackman Capital Partners and Square Mile Capital Management bought the lot as part of a $1.85 billion transaction and rebranded it Radford Studio Center, with a roughly $1 billion modernization and expansion planned. The triangular campus, bisected by the Los Angeles River, currently offers about 18 sound stages ranging from 7,000 to 25,000 square feet, plus office buildings, bungalows, dressing rooms, and three permanent backlot sets (a New York Street built for Seinfeld, a Central Park area, and a Residential Street). Iconic productions made there include Seinfeld, Gunsmoke, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Gilligan's Island, and Big Brother.
