Occidental Studios
201 N OCCIDENTAL BLVD, LOS ANGELES, CA, 90026
Occidental Studios, at 201 N. Occidental Boulevard in the Echo Park / Historic Filipinotown area of Los Angeles, dates to 1913 and is widely cited as the oldest continuously operating film studio lot in Los Angeles. In its early silent-era years it was associated with figures such as Hobart Bosworth, Paramount co-founder Adolph Zukor, Mary Pickford, Cecil B. DeMille, and D.W. Griffith. Operated by Occidental Entertainment Group Holdings, the lot was extensively renovated and expanded beginning around 1990 while retaining its historic architecture. It features roughly four sound stages, including a newer 15,000-square-foot stage with 45-foot clear height, along with production offices, a mill, base camp, and on-site parking. Modern television productions shot there include New Girl and Sharp Objects.
