Mack Sennett Studios
1215 BATES AVE, LOS ANGELES, CA, 90029
Mack Sennett Studios is a historic soundstage and event venue in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles, originally built in 1916 as a silent-film studio associated with comedy pioneer Mack Sennett. The roughly 25,000-square-foot facility comprises two large multipurpose production stages with white cyc and green-screen capabilities, blending vintage character with modern production amenities. Grammy-nominated music producer Jesse Rogg acquired the property in 2013 and reestablished it as a hub for music videos, commercials, fashion shows, film, and live events, drawing artists and productions from across the creative community. Notable shoots have included portions of Martin Scorsese's The Aviator, Justin Bieber's "Baby" music video, the season-two opening-credits sequence of American Horror Story, and the feature Life After Beth. It remains an active, independently owned rental stage in one of LA's most creative eastside neighborhoods.
