1601 Studios (Universal / NBCUniversal Albuquerque)

1601 Studios is NBCUniversal's dedicated Albuquerque production facility, developed with Garcia Realty & Development Group and opened as part of NBCUniversal's pledge to spend $500 million on New Mexico production over ten years. The 78,000-square-foot building, originally a 1975 liquor-distribution warehouse, was adaptively reused into a modern studio with two roughly 20,000-square-foot sound stages featuring two-story ceilings, light grids, and soundproofing.
