Kindling Group

Kindling Group is a Chicago-based nonfiction media studio and 501(c)(3) nonprofit that produces documentaries and impact campaigns intended to inspire engagement and social change. Founded and led by award-winning producer-director Danny Alpert, the organization supports independent and emerging filmmakers, maximizes a project's reach through outreach campaigns, and connects media makers with the broader community. Its documentaries have aired on outlets such as HBO and PBS. Notable work includes The Calling, a PBS series about Americans training for religious leadership across faiths, as well as No Small Matter, Radical Grace, @home, and A Doula Story. The group has also collaborated with Chicago's Siskel/Jacobs Productions on projects including The School Project.
